Matt is a nomadic software engineer who has been using Angular for the past 8 years, ever since 1.0, and for the past few years he's been open sourcing a lot of popular Angular components on GitHub. In his free time he likes travel, yoga and running.
Historically making apps work offline has always been a daunting task for developers, fortunately though, Angular provides several features to make this easy. In this talk, Matt will add incremental improvements to an example application to make it work offline, as well as more resilient to flakey network connections. He’ll show you how to use the Angular service worker to ensure that the application code will load offline, and then demonstrate how you can leverage the power of NgRx to cache data from an API for offline usage when the user is disconnected from the internet.
